A Romantic Summer Lilly House Indianapolis Wedding

The ceremony took place on the Lilly House Terrace in Indianapolis under the open blue summer sky. Guests gathered among formal gardens and boxwood terraces for the couple’s vows. From this vantage point, the camera captured panoramic terrace views and the old-world charm of the Oldfields estate at Newfields. It was a warm June afternoon, but the lush greenery and fountain features made the setting feel like a timeless wedding film. Filming at Newfields in Indianapolis truly highlights the romance.

Weddings at the Lilly House in Indianapolis adds history and elegance to an outdoor summer wedding. During the ceremony, Madalyn walked down the aisle path while Steve waited at the altar. Peonies, boxwoods, and fountains framed the couple in beautiful ways. After the ceremony, guests seamlessly transitioned indoors to the Deer Zink Pavilion for the reception. This venue is also known as the Randolph H. Deer Special Events Pavilion. It is a modern, glass-walled space within Newfields’ museum architecture. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the Sutphin Fountain and gardens, filling the room with natural light. In the wedding film, this space felt bright and airy – perfect for a seamless visual connection between nature and film at Newfields in Indianapolis.

In the Deer Zink Pavilion, we captured new moments: emotional speeches, laughter during the toasts, and the newlyweds’ first dance. Because the pavilion has walls of windows, I positioned the cameras to include the glowing fountain in the background of many shots. This helped link the indoor celebrations back to the outdoor ceremony, shaping the perfect wedding film experience at Newfields in Indianapolis.
