Wedding & Event
My name is Henry Clark and I am the owner of Clark Videography. I know that selecting the right videographer for your wedding or event is a very personal decision, so to help you feel comfortable here is a little bit of personal information about me. My wife and I have been together since 2009 and she did a lot of supporting while getting my business off the ground. My wife is a high school teacher and we have 3 kids, a dog named Bear, two guinea pigs named Pookie and Mary, and a corn snake named Blondie. You can say that we have a busy house. Aside from filming and editing video (which actually is my favorite thing to do, believe it or not) I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking in the mountains, urban exploring, learning Krav Maga, and watching a good TV show. I also enjoy playing guitar and base and have dabbled in creating my own music. Really, though, videography is my passion. My wife keeps telling me that I can’t have any more hobbies that I turn into full time careers, but really I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Now that you know a little bit about me, I hope to get to know a little bit about you as your videographer.
I moved to the Indy area in 2011 to provide more opportunities for myself and my family. We live in the northern suburbs of Indianapolis and just love the area! It was not long after moving here that I decided to pursue videography and put my Radio and Television Broadcasting degree to good use. In the beginning of my venture it was a hobby that I did on my weekends and in the evenings after my 9-5, but soon it became more than that. In the many years I have been a videographer I have learned so much and, given my years of experience, it is difficult to surprise me with something new. It is important when shopping for your Indiana Wedding Videographer that you find one who has plenty of experience under their belt. Trust me when I say, no one makes quality videos when they first start, so it pays to find someone with experience.
While Wedding Videography has really taken off in the last decade or so, some people still wonder if it is worth it to have a Wedding Videographer if they already have a professional photographer. It’s true that you won’t be hanging your video on the wall for all to see, or making it your Facebook or Instagram cover photo, but there is something about video that a photo just can’t replicate. You know this even if you don’t think about it. It’s fun to look back at childhood photos or pictures of you kids, but looking at a video of the same thing really brings it to life and opens the memory flood gates. Hearing the voices and seeing the mannerisms of the people there really is unparalleled. Your wedding is a huge deal. You spend a lot of energy and money and time on marking sure it’s perfect, so don’t you want to remember all of those details years down the road? That’s what wedding videography is all about. So take the photos, trust me, you will want those too, but don’t forget about the video. You won’t regret it!
Best Wedding Videographer
Clark Videography has won the Best of Weddings award from The Knot multiple years in a row!. I have also been recognized as one of the top videographers in Indiana in a PeerSpace article (which you can see below). However, I mostly pride myself on my 5 star reviews, as well as all the wonderful comments I get from my clients that never make it in a review online. My happy clients are why I do what I do.
Licensed Drone Operator
Since 2020, I have been a licensed drone operator Part 107. This was an exciting addition to my skills! I provide drone footage for all kinds of weddings, events, and real estate listings. Drone footage is included in all of my wedding packages provided the weather cooperates and the location allows for the use of drones. I also enjoy using my drone to capture stock footage and scenic areas. Aside from weddings, some of my favorite done footage collected has been in the mountains, on the beach, and during my father-in-law’s awesome 4th of July fireworks display.
Really the only thing I dislike about wedding videography is that, since there is only one of me, I can only book one wedding or event per day. This means that, as much as I hate it, I sometimes have to turn away potential clients when their event date coincides with when I am already booked. I am sure you are aware that your best chance of booking with me is to book early, but unfortunately there are times when it just isn’t possible. However, your wedding is still important to me and I want to make sure you have all the tools you need to find the perfect videographer for your day. The most important thing in a wedding videographer is that they care about you and your special day. You want a wedding videographer who isn’t going to rush or brush off your questions. At the end of the day, a videographer’s work isn’t about the videographer, it’s about capturing an important moment in your life! The second most important thing to look for is experience. Sure, everyone has to start somewhere, and it can be tempting to fall for the lower prices of those who are just getting their start, but trust me when I say that it is experience that makes or breaks the quality of the video. Thirdly, you need to find a videographer whose style clicks with yours. It may sound strange, but videography is an art, and every artist has a different style. So browse the portfolios of different videographers and find the style that fits yours. Finally, when you are browsing those videos make sure you turn the volume up and listen to the sound as well because audio quality is also very important and varies widely depending on the equipment used. I truly hope that I get the opportunity to work with you and capture the memory of your wedding, but if I can’t or if you choose someone else, I hope this information helps you find someone who will create a video that will bring you joy for years to come.
