Having a wedding at Laurel Hall Indianapolis was a dream come true for Sandy and Jake. This grand, historic venue created a beautiful setting full of charm and rich stories. Built in 1916 as a family mansion, Laurel Hall feels like a castle in the heart of Indianapolis.
Sandy and Jake were friends for a year before they became a couple. During that year, their bond grew strong. It was full of easy laughs and fun talks. Sandy thought, “What if we ended up married to each other?” Jake felt a quiet confidence. He thought, “She feels like someone I could spend the rest of my life with.” These early feelings led them to the special moments they shared at their wedding at Laurel Hall Indianapolis.
Today Jake and Sandy enjoy traveling, exploring new places and cultures whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer trip. Good food is another shared passion between Jake and Sandy, as they discover new restaurants and trying new recepies at home.
As a couple their go-to activity for relazing is watching movies and shows. Whether it is revisiting classics, finding new favorites, and sharing opinions on what to watch next. Another activity the couple enjoys is gardening brings a quiet joy, and giving them a sense of accomplishments as they nuture plants and see them thrive.
Sandy had a feeling jake was going to propose that night but wasn’t sure how or when. The way Jake asked her out for a date, that seemed a little too planned and deliberate. Then her friends started nudging her to her nails done and had a nice dress picked out.
Jake on the other hand, was getting more nervous as the evening got closer. He figured Sandy suspected a proposal with the clues she had, so he threw her off by proposing to her before dinner on their walk before dinner.
As Sandy noticed a flash in the distance, it was Natalie from Honey Lens Imaging quietly photographing the moment. This was such a huge suprise for Sandy when she turned back around and saw Jake on one knee in front of her.
Laurel Hall has a beautiful Presidential Suite, with plenty of spacious room. As well as a beautiful window showing the back patio of the wedding venue. On the bottom floor, Jake and his best man were playing Magic The Gathering before it was time to get dressed. This room was a meeting room back when Laurel Hall was a government think-tank in the early days.
Sandy and Jake chose to have their wedding ceremony take place on the back patio of the venue. With a guitarist playing elegant peices as the pre-sessional. The florals at the end of the aisle was vibrant with a spring-inspired palette full of life.
Cocktails began inside in the wood-room, and over flowing into the next room over with the beautiful charcuterie for guests to snack on during cocktail hour. As the Reception Hall is preparred and the tables are set. The florals are set behind the head table on the mantel.
Later, they moved into the other room for Jake and Sandy share their first dance as spouses. Afterwards, the dance floor was open for anyone to join in with the newly wed couple. It was a full dance floor with everyone celebrating the couples new milestone in their relationship.
The wedding day vibe was pure timeless and elegant. All set in the historic wedding venue in Indianapolis. Along with the warm wood paneling and breathtaking stained glass. The grand staircase was added to the old-world charm, making every moment feel cinematic and romatic. The wedding couple wanted a vibrant and spring color palette that is full of life.
