Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but with the right checklist, it doesn’t have to be! We’ve broken down the essentials into simple steps to keep you organized and stress-free. Follow this timeline to stay on track!

12+ Months Before the Wedding

Set your budget.
Create your guest list and choose your wedding party.
Book your venue and lock in the date.
Hire key vendors: planner, photographer, videographer, caterer, and DJ/band.
Start wedding dress shopping!

9-12 Months Before

Finalize the guest list.
Send out save-the-dates.
Plan your honeymoon.
Choose bridesmaid dresses and attire for the groom and groomsmen.

6-9 Months Before

Book your florist, cake designer, and transportation.
Schedule hair and makeup trials.
Order your invitations.
Plan the rehearsal dinner.

3-6 Months Before

Send out wedding invitations.
Book your officiant.
Finalize the menu and cake design.
Start pre-marital counseling (if applicable).

1-3 Months Before

Finalize the seating chart and playlist.
Confirm details with all vendors.
Create a list of items to bring on the wedding day.
Write your vows and plan the day’s timeline.
Apply for your marriage license.

1 Week Before
